Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups almond milk
- 3 tablespoons pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1/4 - 1/3 banana
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- Pinch black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon cardamom
Instructions
- Option 1
- 1. Whisk Ingredients in a small saucepan on a medium flame, and bring to a gentle boil.
- 2. When heated through, taste and adjust accordingly.
- 3. Blend in blender on high until foamy and serve hot with a swirl of coconut milk and a pinch of cinnamon.
- Option 2
- Put all ingredients in Vitamix (or other high speed blender such as a BlendTec) and blend on high speed for 5 minutes until hot and thick. This allows you to walk away from the blender and do something else while it's heating.
- Pour into mugs and enjoy.
Make a batch of spice mix ahead of time and store in an 8 oz jar. Store at room temperature. Use one slightly rounded tablespoon per recipe. Recipe below makes enough for 6 servings
- 2 tablespoons ground turmeric
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves
- 3/4 teaspoon cardamom
- 1/8 teaspoon finely ground black pepper
